The kids and I finished up The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe last night. Tyson started reading it with them, but I have had bedtime charge the past week, so I got to finish it up. I had forgotten how much symbolism and allusion is contained therein. Wow. I loved the thought processes involved - I usually have somewhat of a dread for the tale - not because it I think dislike the storyline, its just that I know what happens and it's the anticipation leading up to Aslan's sacrifice that gets me. But I think that has been resolved now. I loved the imagery and the joy that followed Lewis' tactful and simple depiction.
Now on to "The Horse and His Boy". Wish us luck!
