Skating into the New Year

We started New Year's Eve off with a whirl.  Our Primary had an activity at the local Pancake Skate 'n Whirl that we were all invited to.  Tyson got home off of midnight shift just in time to get into "Taxi" and head off with us for the fun.  It was a blast!  We all got skates, including the twins.  Emmalee started off holding my hand for awhile, and then went off on her own.  It was so nice to see Em and Lib skating out there having fun on their own and with the other kids!  The twins did pretty good too, but when Gracie went out on the skate floor under the mirror ball, she told her dad that the lights made her sick, so he took pity on her and took her skating around on the carpet.  They (the Skating Rink and the Primary) played Four Corners, and Limbo, and Hokey Pokey, and did the Chicken Dance out on the skate floor, and fed us all pizza and pop.  We (I) have decided we need to do it again :).

LIMBO!!!

Of course it is bound to be a good time if there is pizza and root beer involved.

Emmalee was doing very well in the Four Corners game until she went into a corner by herself and was the only one to get out that turn.

Grace went out to the circle and Hokey Pokeyed with me.  She never did figure out what we were doing out there, she just kept looking at me like we were all looney.
